FarmWorks Mobile Android requires a smart phone or tablet running Google's Android operating system. The device must have Bluetooth and will need internet access via WiFi.
To download FarmWorks Mobile Android:
Alternatively browse to this page on your phone or tablet and click here.
Before you can start you must enter your FarmWorks Mobile licence key in FarmWorks on the PC.
After registering, you must do an initial data transfer to move your FarmWorks data from your PC into the FarmWorks Mobile app.
After the initial data transfer to FarmWorks Mobile from FarmWorks on the PC you can start collecting data on the app. When you are ready to send data from your phone or tablet to the PC you need to synchronise your data.
FarmWorks Mobile can accept EID's via Bluetooth from a Shearwell stick reader (SDL400S). Before you can use the app with a particular stick reader you must "pair" them - an easy procedure you will only have to do once.
The app settings screen allows you to configure how the app works. To get to the setting screen, press the 'Settings' button on the FarmWorks Mobile main screen, you then have the following options:
When you select a function (birth, movement, treatment, etc.) you can add the animals in three different ways - scan the tags with the stick reader straight into the app; import a group of tags that were previously scanned and stored in the memory of the stick reader; or manually type in a tag number that is already in your FarmWorks data.

When you try to record data for an animal that is not known in FarmWorks, you will be prompted to create a new animal record.

You can view comments within the animal details screen, or when adding animals to an event (e.g. treatment) you will see any comment colour flags within the tag list and pressing on the tag will display all comments.
You cannot currently use groups within the app to record an event. However you can record or report using the group on FarmWorks.
